MY PDP

Mission: My mission is to have a happy, rewarding life, with a great family and a successful career.

Goals:
1. Graduate from UW-Stout
2. Begin my GIS career with Merjent Inc. or MI-Tech.
3. Advance in the company to a point were I can settle down and begin my family
4. Become financially set and start my own GIS company specializing in wildlife and farmland.
5. Make enough money so that my children will not have the burden of paying for college.
6. Retire, but remain doing freelance GIS, moving out west to the mountains.

Strategy:
With this being my last semester I will be graduating in December, 2011. At the moment I have no job line up. I will take this time to work for Century Fence Company, where I have worked the past couple summers. By doing this I will remain financially stable while I continue to search for a career in my field. Through a tremendous amount of networking, labor work, time, and training, I will get my chance to become a GIS specialist for Merjent Inc. I am already very close with the Vice President of the company and I have had interviews with him and feel extremely confident. Being very great company in the Midwest right now and quickly spreading throughout the US possibilities for me to advance are spectacular. Through hard work and dedication to the company I will be given that opportunity and will be able to select my location and place roots to start my family.

With a growing company on my side and the years of hard work will pay off extremely when I can start my own adventure. With all my training, experience, and recognition, I will be able to start my own GIS company to work with my first passion the outdoors. Working with farmers, sportsmen, and the general outdoor enthusiasts, I want to create maps that illustrates the part of the outdoors that most people don't see.

Something that is very important to me because it was such an important thing in my life is to be able to put my kids through college just as my father did. By instilling the dedication of hard work into me and my brothers we were able to work hard and never had the burden of financial issues. By teaching my kids these lessons they will also have that freedom from the financial struggle through college.

With a Happy Life in progress and many years of hard work I will retire. Move to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. This is area that I have hunted for years and will continue my life there. By remaining to do GIS work for ranchers, mapping fence lines, feed lots, and herding areas, I will prevent boredom and driving my wife crazy.

Values:
Through this PDP these values show there importance to me and my life ahead.
1. Family
2. Friends
3. Happiness
4. Environment/Outdoors
5. Financial stability
